من تبرأ من أمه وأبيه وأهانهم وطردهم من المنزل وجعلهم في الشارع مثلاً، بماذا سنشعر تجاه هذا الشخص؟
How would you feel about someone who dissociated himself from his parents, kicked them out of the house, and left them in the street?
إن قال شخص إنه سوف يدخله منزله وسوف يكرمه وسوف يطعمه ويشكره على هذا العمل، هل سيُقدر الناس له هذا العمل؟ هل يتقبل الناس ذلك منه؟ ولله المثل الأعلى، ماذا ننتظر أن يكون مصير من رفض خالقه وكفر به؟ من عوقب بالنار فكأنما وُضع في مكانه الصحيح، هذا الشخص احتقر السلام والخير على الأرض، فلم يستحق نعيم الجنة.
If someone said that he would let this person in his house, treat him with generosity, feed him, and thank him for such an act, would people appreciate that for him? Would people accept that from him? Bearing in mind that Allah has the highest attributes, what destiny do we expect for someone who rejected his Creator and disbelieved in Him? Whoever is punished with fire is as if put in his due place, as he despised peace and goodness on earth, thus, became unworthy of the bliss of Paradise.
وماذا ننتظر ليفعل بمن يُعذِّب الأطفال بالأسلحة الكيماوية مثلاً، أن يدخل الجنة دون حساب؟
What destiny do we expect for someone who tortures children with chemical weapons? Do we expect him to enter Paradise without reckoning?!
وذنبهم ليس ذنبًا محدودًا في الزمان بل هو خصلة ثابتة.
Their sin is not limited to a certain time; rather, it is a consistent trait.
قال الله تعالى:
Allah Almighty said:
"...وَلَوْ رُدُّوا لَعَادُوا لِمَا نُهُوا عَنْهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ" [309]. (الأنعام: 28).
{...And even if they were sent back, they would surely return to what they were forbidden, for they are indeed liars.} [309] Surat al-An‘ām: 28.
وهم يواجهون الله أيضًا بالحلف الكذب، وهم بين يديه يوم القيامة.
They even swear false oath in the presence of Allah on the Day of Judgment.
قال الله تعالى:
Allah Almighty said:
"يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ جَمِيعًا فَيَحْلِفُونَ لَهُۥ كَمَا يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ ۖ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ ۚ أَلَآ إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ ٱلْكَٰذِبُونَ" [310]. (المجادلة :18).
{On the Day when Allah will raise them all, they will swear to Him as they swear to you, thinking that they have something to stand on. Indeed, it is they who are the liars.} [310] Surat al-Mujādilah: 18.
كما أن الشر يمكن أن يأتي من أناس في قلوبهم حسد وغيرة ويتسببوا في بث المشاكل والنزاعات بين البشر. فكان من العدالة أن يكون جزائهم النار وهو ما يتناسب مع طبيعتهم.
Moreover, evil can emerge from people who bear envy and jealousy in their hearts and who create troubles and conflicts among people, thus, it is out of justice that they get recompensed with fire, a recompense that suits their nature.
قال الله تعالى:
Allah Almighty said:
"وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا عَنْهَا أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ"[311]. (الأعراف: 36).
{But those who reject Our verses and show arrogance towards them, they are the people of the Fire, they will abide therein forever.} [311] Surat al-A‘rāf: 36.
وصفة الله العادل تقتضي أن يكون منتقمًا إلى جانب رحمته، فالله في النصرانية "محبة " فقط، وفي اليهودية " غضب" فقط، وفي الإسلام هو إله عادل ورحيم وله الأسماء الحسنى جميعًا، وهي صفات الجمال والجلال.
Allah's attribute of justice entails His being the Avenger besides His being the Merciful. Allah, in Christianity, is love only and in Judaism, He is wrath only; however, in Islam He is a just and merciful God to Whom all the beautiful names belong, which are the attributes of beauty and majesty.
ثم إنه في الواقع العملي في الحياة، نستخدم النار لعزل الشوائب عن المادة النقية، كالذهب والفضة، ولذلك فإن الله تعالى - ولله المثل الأعلى - يستخدم النار لتنقية عباده في الحياة الآخرة من الذنوب والآثام، ويخرج من النار في النهاية من كان في قلبه مثقال ذرة من إيمان برحمته.
In real practical life, we use fire to remove impurities from the pure substance like gold and silver. Similarly, while bearing in mind that Allah has the highest attributes, Allah Almighty uses fire to purify His slaves in the Hereafter from sins and misdeeds. At the end, Allah brings out of Hellfire whoever has an atom's weight of faith in His mercy.
في الواقع أن الله يريد الإيمان لجميع عباده.
As a matter of fact, Allah wants all His slaves to have faith.
قال الله تعالى:
Allah Almighty said:
"وَلَا يَرْضَىٰ لِعِبَادِهِ الْكُفْرَ ۖ وَإِن تَشْكُرُوا يَرْضَهُ لَكُمْ ۗ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ۗ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُم مَّرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ"[312]. (الزمر :7).
{And He does not approve of disbelief for His slaves. If you are grateful, He approves that for you. No bearer of burden can bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you of what you used to do. He is All-Knowing of what is in the hearts.} [312] Surat az-Zumar: 7.
ومع ذلك، إذا أرسل الله الجميع إلى الجنة دون حساب، فسيحدث انتهاك صارخ للعدالة؛ وسوف يعامل الله نبيه موسى وفرعون بنفس الطريقة، ويدخل كل ظالم وضحاياه الجنة وكأن شيئًا لم يكن. هناك حاجة إلى آلية لضمان أن الأشخاص الذين يدخلون الجنة يدخلونها على أساس الجدارة.
However, if Allah sends all people to Paradise without reckoning, this will be a flagrant violation of justice. It means that Allah will treat His Prophet Moses and the Pharaoh the same way and will admit every oppressor along with his victims to Paradise as if nothing happened at all. There is a need for a mechanism that ensures that those admitted to Paradise will be admitted based on eligibility.
وإن جمال التعاليم الإسلامية هو أن الله الذي يعرفنا أكثر مما نعرف أنفسنا، قد أخبرنا أنه لدينا ما يلزم للأخذ بالأسباب الدنيوية لنيل رضاه ودخول الجنة.
The beauty of the Islamic teachings lies in the fact that Allah, Who knows us better than we know ourselves, informs us that we possess the necessary qualifications to utilize the worldly means and attain His pleasure and enter Paradise.
قال الله تعالى:
Allah Almighty said:
"لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا…"[313]. (البقرة :286).
{Allah does not burden any soul greater than it can bear...} [313] Surat al-Baqarah: 286.
إن كثيرًا ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﺠﺮﺍﺋﻢ ﺗصل بأﺻﺤﺎﺑﻬﺎ إﻟﻰ ﺣُﻜﻢ ﺍﻟﻤﺆﺑﺪ. ﻓﻬﻞ ﻫﻨﺎﻙ ﻣﻦ ﻳﻘﻮﻝ أﻥ ﺣُﻜﻢ ﺍﻟﻤﺆﺑﺪ ظلم، لأﻥ ﺍﻟﻤﺠﺮﻡ ﺍﺭﺗﻜﺐ ﺟﺮﻳﻤﺘﻪ ﺑﺪﻗﺎﺋﻖ ﻣﻌﺪﻭﺩﺓ؟ ﻫﻞ ﺣُﻜﻢ العشر ﺳﻨﻮﺍﺕ ﺣُﻜﻢ ﻇﺎﻟﻢ، ﻷﻥ ﺍﻟﻤﺠﺮﻡ ﻟﻢ ﻳﺨﺘﻠﺲ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻷﻣﻮﺍﻝ إﻻ ﺳﻨﺔ ﻭﺍﺣﺪﺓ فقط. إﻥ ﺍﻟﻌﻘﻮﺑﺎﺕ ﻻ ﺗﺘﻌﻠﻖ ﺑﻤﺪﺓ ﺍﺭﺗﻜﺎﺏ ﺍﻟﺠﺮﺍﺋﻢ ﺑﻞ ﺑﺤﺠﻢ ﺍﻟﺠﺮﺍﺋﻢ ﻭﻓﻈﺎﻋﺘﻬﺎ.
Many crimes lead those who commit them to life sentence. Does anyone object saying that this life sentence is unjust because the criminal committed his crime only in a few minutes? Is a ten-year sentence considered unfair because the criminal embezzled from the money only within one year? Penalties do not depend on the duration of committing crimes; rather, they depend on the magnitude and gravity of the crime itself.
